JUPITER MEDICAL CENTER’S COMPREHENSIVE BREAST CARE PROGRAM WINS SILVER AWARD FROM NATIONAL HEALTH INFORMATION AWARDS

The National Health Information Awards recently awarded Jupiter Medical Center’s Comprehensive Breast Care Program a Silver Award for its Total Health Information Program. The nation’s best consumer health information programs and materials produced in 2011 were announced following the 19th annual National Health Information Awards (NHIA) program held in summer 2012.

This year, nearly 1,000 entries were submitted by a wide variety of leading organizations in the consumer health field. This awards program, the most comprehensive competition of its kind, is organized by the Health Information Resource Center, a national clearinghouse for consumer health information programs and materials. See a complete list of 2012 winners and judges biographies at healthawards.com/2012winners.

The judges, a panel of health information experts, selected gold, silver, bronze and merit winners. Entries included brochures, audio/video, newspaper and magazine articles, books, and other media from hospitals, publishers, ad agencies, trade associations, etc.

Jupiter Medical Center’s Comprehensive Breast Care program, which encompasses the Margaret W. Niedland Breast Center (diagnostics) and the Kristin Hoke Breast Health Program (treatment), is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
