A rare South Florida appearance by Verlon Thompson and Sue Cunningham -- performing at a new venue in Jupiter – will take place May 11. Showtime is 4 p.m.

Thompson is an award-winning guitarist and singer / songwriter whose music has been recorded by Dierks Bentley, Suzy Bogguss, Sam Bush, Tracy Byrd, Guy Clark, the Del McCoury Band, Joe Diffie, Ramblin Jack Elliott, Barbara Mandrell, Anne Murray, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Kenny Rogers, Pam Tillis, Randy Travis, Trisha Yearwood, Jerry Jeff Walker and others. His show is a dazzling display of amazing musicianship and captivating storytelling.

Sue Cunningham will join Thompson on fiddle and voice.

The venue is the auditorium at the Jupiter Medical and Technology Park, 1701 Military Trail. Donations are $20, and concertgoers can bring their own refreshments.
