Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival to present Good Evening! in Palm Beach Gardens

April 17, 2014

Talented comedic actors will bring the greatest works of Carol Burnett, Dudley Moore, Monty Python and others to stage for a fun-filled sketch performance April 17 through 20, 2014, at Palm Beach State College's Eissey Campus Theatre.

There won't be any dead-parrot jokes, but audiences will delight in Palm Beach Shakespeare Festival's Good Evening!, featuring the area's top improvisational actors and visiting artists.

"Years ago, we did an evening of sketch comedy from comedy's greatest performers," Festival Director Kermit Christman said. "We called it 'Hell's Broke Loose,' and the audiences roared with laughter at each sold-out show. Throughout the Festival's years, our company members have been touring with their own improvisational groups between the dramas, and it seemed the perfect time to bring everyone together to do what they love and what audiences adore."

The sketches star improv actors from "Cheese & Crackers," including Wally Lurz, Zack Myer, Krys Parker and Seth Trucks, as well as the ever-popular Jove Comedy Experience duo of Jesse Furman and Frank Licari, along with guest artist Natasha Sherritt. Featured sketches include "The Four Yorkshire Men," "Speech Impodiment," "Technological Advancements in the Catholic Church" and more fast-paced, hilarious scenes.

Good Evening! will take the stage thanks to a cultural partnership with the college, with showtimes at 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets cost $15.
