Quantum House is getting ready for the annual National Association of Hospital Hospitality House Week July 25-29. NAHHH week is a celebration of facilities that care for patients and their families. Quantum House has been a part of the hospital hospitality house community since it opened its doors in May, 2001. Ten years later, it still has special reason to celebrate NAHHH week as the only facility of its kind between Ft. Lauderdale and Orlando.
The week is a way to recognize the staff and volunteers whose hard work makes Quantum House a place where “hope has a home.” Monday, Quantum House will kick off the week with Family Fun Day. Families will enjoy a pizza and ice cream party and test their house-building skills with Lego blocks. Tuesday is Multicultural Day. Quantum House guests will have a day of costumes, music, dancing and crafts from around the world. Brio Tuscan Grille will provide dinner. Wednesday, the kids at Quantum House will get the chance to make summer crafts, write post cards home and enjoy summer-themed refreshments for Super Summer Day. Thursday, Quantum House will get a special visit from Ronald McDonald. Ronald will surprise the kids with Happy Meals from McDonald’s.
NAHHH week will close with Under the Sea Day on Friday when real submarine officers will greet Quantum House guests with hats and present them with honorary submariner certificates.
