Chatsworth at PGA National has received the highest score in the Five-Star Quality Rating System administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Owned and managed by Erickson Living, Chatsworth is the continuing care neighborhood associated with Devonshire at PGA National, a retirement community located in Palm Beach Gardens.

The Five-Star Quality Rating System is based on three areas including health inspections, quality of care measures, and staffing. Health inspection ratings are determined from the last three years of onsite inspections including standard surveys and complaint surveys. Quality of care ratings include information on nine different physical and clinical measures for residents. Staffing ratings are determined by Registered Nurse (RN) hours per resident day and total staffing hours per resident day. In January 2014, Chatsworth received a five-star or “much above average” rating in overall quality, which is a combined rating for all three areas.

CMS suggests using the Five-Star Quality Rating System, along with other sources of information, to assist in drawing comparisons among the nation’s more than 15,000 Medicare or Medicaid-certified nursing homes.
