Oren Tasini

North Palm Beach resident Oren Tasini, a partner in the law firm of Haile Shaw & Pfaffenberger, has been elected president of the National Association of Dealer Counsel’s board of directors. Tasini was sworn in at the counsel’s ninth-annual Member Conference in Laguna Beach, Calif.

“I am honored and delighted to serve as president of NADC,” said Tasini, who previously served as vice president. “As a founding member, I have seen the organization grow from its infancy to where it stands today – a robust and vibrant organization.”

The counsel is a nonprofit, nationwide professional organization of more than 500 attorneys who represent automobile and other vehicle dealers throughout the United States, providing a forum for members to share information, experience and advice related to manufacturer-franchise issues, lemon laws, vehicle finance, regulatory complexities, insurance and tax laws, buy and sell agreements and other issues facing dealers today.

Tasini is one of the foremost authorities in automotive law in the country and works with dealerships on legal compliance. He belongs to the Legislative Committee of the Florida Automotive Dealers Association and works as an adjunct professor at Northwood University teaching automotive-franchise law. He also is co-chairman of the Palm Beach County Business Development Board’s Entrepreneur Task Force.
