The Young Professionals of the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce celebrated its fifth anniversary with a martini motif, a bountiful raffle and lots of mixing and mingling.
More than 120 guests attended the hYPe party at Dirty Martini, Downtown at the Gardens’ new hotspot. Proceeds from admission fees and raffle tickets will help the nonprofit organization with its goal of fostering the growth of the next generation of business leaders.
“Our fifth anniversary party was a huge success,” hYPe Chairwoman Stephanie Mitrione said. “It attracted current members, new members, as well as some of the Chamber members who target their business to our demographic.”
Raffle prizes included a Kravis Center gift basket, tickets to the Florida Marlins 2012 spring-training season, a framed SunFest poster from this year, tickets to The Honda Classic next year and a Dirty Martini happy-hour party.
“Our revenue from our fifth-anniversary party exceeded our expectations,” Mitrione said. “All of the money that we raised at the event will contribute to the hYPe mission of offering platforms for professional development and community outreach.”
Each guest received a pair of drink tickets, a gift bag and a costumed-photo opportunity.
“More than 30 percent of people who attended our anniversary party were new to our group,” Mitrione said. “One of the group's goals is to provide events that merge social and development components to offer a vehicle for career advancement. We'll be bringing in dynamic guests speakers, including several local business leaders, and will have an increased focus on philanthropic involvement in our area.”
