Candidates raise $300,000 for cancer research during Man & Woman of the Year campaign

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's 2011 Man & Woman of the Year campaign resulted in more than $300,000 in raised funds and the crowning of Jason Brian, of Autocricket.com, and Jennifer Martin, of Bodhi Hot Yoga.

The Grand Finale Celebration drew a crowd of more than 200 friends and supporters of the society. It began with a cocktail reception and silent auction, featured the awards program and live auction, an was emceed by Meredith McDonough and Paul LaGrone, of WPBF-TV.

All of the candidates tapped into their networks during the 10-week campaign. They included Mary Aguiar, of Christine D. Hanley & Associates, Kristi Lei Bryan, of Kristi Lei Interiors, Denise Fraile, of Verati Design, Donna Lewis, of SunTrust Bank, Adam Lipson, Chris Grubb, Miles McGrane, of Cole, Scott & Kissane, Jeff Neve, of PNC Bank, Dr. Lorne Stitsky, of Personal Choice Family Practice, Lindsay Tapp, of Caregiver Services, Ilya Tatarov, of LostEvidence, and Gretta Vitta, of Powerful Marketing Co.

They raised funds in honor of Daniel Jaramillo, Boy of the Year, and Abby Alonzo, Girl of the Year, who attended the celebration with their families.
